NO!

This is a huge profit area for the dealer and there is NO WAY anything will go wrong with a Honda inside 100K that is worth $1600. Our family has a Nissan with over 200K on it that we haven't spent that much on in total... and Hondas are at least as dependable. Their powertrains are rocks. NO NO NO don't do it.

Put the money in savings and promise you'll do the 30K, 60K and 90K service at a good mecahnic who knows Hondas. You'll save tons of money!

a hundred 000 km is fairly little for an 8 365 days previous automobile on account that maximum leases entitle the landlord to approximately 24 000 km/365 days. I actual have an 1996 acura tl (comparable corporation as honda) that still runs relatively nicely so i might think of a honda 0.5 its age could run a splash extra effective. once you're procuring off craigslist ask the provider provider in case you may meet them at a mechanic to get an inspection. base line, i think of that an 04 civic is a huge automobile. even nonetheless, if something considerable is going incorrect you're able to finally end up putting extra funds into fixing it than you probably did procuring it. The battery interior a hybrid is a lithium ion battery, and a extensive one at that. Lithium batteries are relatively costly, so confirm you will not could change it any time quickly.

you probably wont need it, but you never know.....1600 over 7 years is only a couple hundred a year, broken down its less than 20 bucks more a month to pay.... so if you want to ease your worries of any problems that may happen is 20 bucks a month worth it? my friend has a honda with over 250000 miles on it and has never had a problem..... big dollar purchases will always make you think.... my two cars i have extended warranties on... good luck with it:)

Hondas are very reliable cars. Although it may give you some peace-of-mind, it will probably not be used. Take the money and invest it and only take it out if you have a major repair.
You'll be way ahead.

no, basic maintenance is just changing the oil, rotate tires, and check fluids. there's not much more to that until something were to go wrong.
