Starting a web site is a great start. During the summer months, look for craft fairs you can be a vendor at.

Where I live there is an old town where everyone has a "shop" and the town is sort of a tourist attraction on weekends in the summer and on certain weekends they have vendors you could find something like that around where you live. OR Go to your local stores (the mom and pop kind) and ask them if they would mind if you set up a display of your handmade jewelry and if they let you use really nice material like red or black velvet. If you are strapped for cash just go to a local goodwill type store and buy a dress with some velvet on it and cut the biggest square of the material you can. make sure you polish your jewelry before you display it so it will shine in the light and catch the eyes of those coming and going. Leave some of your business cards beside the display. I hope this helps some.

The best place for new crafters is http://www.etsy.com. It is sort of like ebay, but only hand made crafts or supplies and no auction, just a store type system. I buy all my gifts there & have several friends who sell there with great results. You only pay when you actually sell something and accounts are easy to get set up. You could be selling within a few minutes. From there, once you build up a name recognition and with good word of mouth, you can decide if you want to open up your own online store. Etsy is an easy way to attract attention and get customers without a lot of fuss, overhead or expense. Good luck!

i work at a bead store and i know a lot of people who do very well by selling to friends and getting the word out that way.. also one lady goes to places where a bunch of guys work.... ie fire deparments etc... and she sells there on key days like valentines day.... she makes a lot of money from guys who have forgotten to get gifts :) but yea words of mouth works wonders... have some cards made that your friends can give out... people love homemade jewelry

take it around to some small dress shops and see if they would sell it for you , for a percentage of the price., you can go to arts and craft shows, you could set up at one of those indoor flea markets.
