It's safe, unless you have any complicating conditions.

It's perfectly fine as far as the baby goes. If this is your partner who you're monogamous with, go for it; the only effect his sperm can have is what it did eight months ago. If you aren't monogamous, you can still catch an STD when pregnant.

Some doctors advise abstaining from sex for the last two or three weeks before your delivery date to avoid accidently inducing labor, but there's some controversy about whether having sex has that effect.

That is perfectly normal. Having sex with your partner while pregnant is a bonding experience between you, your
partner and the baby. As long as you don't have any pain
or a high risk pregnancy, it's fine. It also loosens some of those muscles ,so when giving birth, it will be smoother

Yes it is o.k. as long as you know your partners status and that you don't have any pregnancy proplems that your doctor said not to have sex.

sperm has hormones that help soften the cervix and may help induce labor, but this only happens if you were within 72 hrs of going into labor anyway. So yes its perfectly safe

Yeah it's fine and yes sperm can bring on labor (don't quote me on that) but I think it's only applicable right near the end.
Bit the same as eating a hot curry or taking a long walk near the end can start labor.
The long walk did it for me!

Nope sperm is not a problem. Only the contractions caused by orgasm can be but at 31 weeks it should be okay, Just make sure he isn't too aggressive since it can actually bump the baby. I you have questions go to http://www.oxygen.com/tvshows/talksex/bios.aspx

sperm can thin out the cervix. i was 36 weeks pregnant and had sex and a day and a half later i had a beautiful baby girl. however that does not mean that it will happen to you. we had sex before that and nothing ever happened.

It's absolutely fine, UNLESS you're at risk for pre-term labor and the doc specifically said "no sex". The prostaglandins in the sperm don't normally help labor to get started until your body and baby is ready.

Yes; however, if you cramp for a long period of time afterwards, I would suggest you stop until you can discuss this with your Ob-Gyn. I have been having those problems (I'm 32-weeks pregnant), told my Ob-Gyn (today, actually), and he said that having intercourse was causing me to have uterine contractions. He said nothing about the sperm causing it. He suggested I stop intercourse until I was 35-weeks pregnant or better. Hope this helps!

Yes, it's totally safe, you don't have to worry about hurting the baby at all, or he/she hearing anything, it's a BABY ,not a grown man with a cup to the side of your tummy listening in!!

It's fine. When you are closer to your due date some have said that it is possible that something in semen can cause contractions. If this were true though , imagine all the premature births there would be! Relax and enjoy yourself!
