hate long passages from wiki more than anything else.

A wikipedia link is ok, especially if enhanced with commentary.
Copying and pasting from Wikipedia is just cheesy, especially if the source is not cited. (plagiarism)
Bible quotes are ok for those who want them, not everyone does. But for those who view the bible as the final authority, a bible quote can be just what they're looking for.
I can think of a few things that are far more annoying than either of these.
1. People asking ignorant and disrespectful questions about other races and cultures. Questions about getting to know each other as different kinds of human beings are ok, but questions that come from a place of seeing other kinds of people as less than humans, of denying that other kinds of people are humans with human worth and dignity, those are really annoying. And I wonder about people in other countries who read these questions and think that all Americans are ignorant and hateful toward one another. (Ignorant is not the same as not knowing; we all ask questions to learn about things we don't know. Ignorant means ignoring our common humanity, out of arrogance or spite.)
2. People asking certian questions over and over, even though when you ask a question that is frequently asked, Yahoo suggests similar questions that have been asked recently. Often these questios are ignorant and disrespectful, as above.
3. People wanting others to do their homework for them.

The absolute, most annoying answers are -
1. Someone who answers with a lack of intelligence.
2. Answers have nothing to do with the question.
3. People who attack other people's answers.

The most annoying thing to me, is when someone will post a REALLY long answer they copy pasted from Wikipedia.

Copy and Paste SUCK! No matter what the subject.
And I use Wikipedia (as long as I know it is FACTUAL), Google, and my personal beliefs (not necessarily in that order) to answer every question to the best of my ability. Take it as you please. Blessings
