There is a term I've heard used many times, "psychic vampire".

It seems there are a lot of occultists who have used this word, people who access the spiritual realm to drain your energy...

But then I've heard this used lately as a psychological term for people who are just miserable and manage to drain and feed off of your emotions.

Google the words 'psychic vampires' and I think you might find something. I wish I had some particular links I've been to, but alas I have nothing in my favorites :)

Good luck; trust me you don't want to meet any, regardless of whether it be the 'occult' definition or the psychological one.

Someone who requires certain things from you in order to feel secure. How draining they are will depend on how needy they are, and how susceptible you are to that sort of thing. The thing draining people usually need most is validation, proof that they are good, smart, sought after, pretty, successful, whatever, and they interpret whatever you say in that light. If they don't get the message they want, they'll start to "push" for it with more calculated questions (these could be subconsciously calculated) until they get what they want, or they get mad at you and go.

It's more draining your energy, not your emotions. It's not just a behavioral thing, but a psychic thing as well.

People that should be nice but are mean.
Mean people suck the life out . . .
I'm actually for euthanizing mean people .
