I'm being very blunt but I speak the truth... if you are depressed start with switching the computer off. Get out there, take up a new hobby! Do something now! Don't sit in front of a computer screen wondering why your life sucks.

Fletcher ... I'm very sympathetic. Do not get me wrong. But you gave almost no information that potential answerers can use to make a meaning suggestion for you.
Can you tell us what's been happening that might be making you feel depressed? There are too many possibilities, of course, and we need more info if we're going to be able help.
We all hope you're soon feeling better. Some general guidance: try to avoid trouble and troublesome people ... Stay closer to those who love you.
Good luck, Fletcher. I hope things will change for the better.

Without a LOT more information, there's no way to know.
If you are depressed about something bad that happened, it is normal and should pass with time. If it doesn't go away, or you are just depressed all the time without any reason, it might be physiological. If you sometimes find yourself having thoughts of harming yourself or others, see your doctor and tell her about it. Depression *can* be successfully treated.
Good luck,
dave

My guess for most depression is a lack of feeling that you have a purpose in life as well as not being able to answer the infinate amount of mysteries behind life. Ultimately only God or a higher being can define what your purpose is and answer your questions to life. If you don't believe in any kind of god then my opinions will not be of any help to you and I apologize for that.
Maybe all it is is that you went through a bad break up or divorce or a loved on died recently or something. But if it's something like that then I think it would be pretty obvious to you.

If you have, are you satisfied? If you could elaborated a bit about your self, we could probably be more assistance. In any case, i advise you to get a professional help and don't let that hanging. Because you SAY you are!. What the mind believes the mind achieves. Stop thinking about it whatever it is. The more you think the more you will drown in "depression"
Are you Ninety seven years old with heart disease and diabetes, homeless, broke and hungry? If not then what the hell are you depressed about??
Enjoy life! You only have one of it on earth

It could be chemicals in the brain, life experiences or it could run in the family (hereditary). Maybe it is your diet you could be eating bad foods and processed foods, or the way you think if you think to negitive change your thought patterns. It can be many things.

Instead of asking here why you are depressing, please go to library, find any book related to psychology and read why you are so depressed?
