Custom Pistol Grips?

I am starting to make a few pistol grips in my spare time. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get specs on holes and measurements for a few grips. I think the one I am working on now is a Colt Commander, maybe even II

Best thing to do is just take a pattern off the grips that you already have.
