Peace? Yes. Quiet? Never! That's when the kids and I catch up on everything. We talk about how our day was and our plans for the next day, or any problems we're having, and laugh together as my little one piles her food on top of her head. In fact, the only topics that are tabu at our dinner table are TV and video games. That way we use the time to talk about what's real, which is all that really matters. Often when I'm in the middle of something and one of the kids wants to talk, they'll see I'm busy and say, that's okay Mom, I'll save it for dinner. Then they know they have my undivided attention. Dinner time is very important to our family!

Yes ,I think talking and eating don't go together ? We had all day to talk and now you want to start talking while were eating.
