Because their wives treat them like crap and go to someone who respects, appreciates, and shows him affection. There is no justification for cheating. If a man is happy at home, why would he cheat? I say if you aren't happy with your wife and want to go elsewhere, get a divorce and then go find a honey.
Why would anyone agree that the wife could possibly be at fault? Oh, that's right, because it's all about them, I forgot. They never do anything wrong. Feminist movement ring a bell?

Married people turn to others when they don't feel fulfilled. It may be as simple as someone not taking the time to spend with their spouse. Might be as complex as spouse witholding sex (which by the way makes it close to prostitution when you make getting sex about getting something in return). What does a spouse think is going to happen if they don't "give it up". They will look elsewhere. Maybe just for companionship, someone to talk to or for sex. Maybe the marriage isn't working so the easiest way to forget about your troubles is to find someone on the side. I have found that men and women alike don't want to leave their kids with the other or its just too easy to stay at home and cheat than to leave their spouses. It may be they are staying because of the kids, money or security but that's the comfort zone they want. Even the lack of love and affection in a marriage can cause a spouse to stray.

I agree with tattoo980. It's because sex is never enough for the cheaters they want more. I hear alot of crap that the wife is to blame blah blah. Keep blaming the wife/husband for what their spouse does behind their back because there is no excuse in the book for them. If your needs aren't being met TALK to your spouse about it you know communication. Talk about that you feel your needs aren't being met that you aren't happy work on it if you can't then break up with that person and find someone that will meet your needs don't have sex with your spouse and whoever else at the same time that's wrong.

I've been a man all my life. I have been with my wife for over 10 years and I've never cheated on her. I have also never cheated on the girls I dated before I met her. You're just finding the wrong ones, honey.

think men and women cheat because they are immature, want to escape from reality, because maybe they aren't happy with their lives and think by changing it and changing partners they will somehow be able to change things. they never think that they may just be unhappy with themselves. they cheat because they are cowards, who don't want to put the effort into it to work out the problems. may be they have a different belief system, different morals, poor judgment due to lack of maturity. they just want the excitement that they get from a new relationship and their love for their spouse is based on conditions, and when the conditions change their love for that person also changes.

Sorry. I disagree with the answer that things aren't right with the partner. Not a good reason.
I think all people cheat for the same reason. For the fantasy of it. I think they are fed up with the reality that marriage lives in and they look for a fantasy life. They can control what this new person knows and thus thinks of them and can create who they are in this new relationship.
It is never the fault of the spouse when someone cheats. Please stop blaming the partner. No one can meet the needs of their spouse 100% of the time and we have to be mature and know that we need to meet our own needs in our own lives to be happy.
Marrigae is not always the problem when we aren't happy.

People regardless of gender cheat because they are not 100% happy in the relationship they are in. NO ONE cheats that is totally emotionally, sexually, mentally satisfied in a relationship. And no one wakes up one day and says "im going to cheat" people cheat when their needs are not met.
