I believe that a lot of people thought that when they got Iverson the team would be better.. but i feel when you bring players in the middle of the season when the team already had good chemistry going it makes the team worse because now they all have to learn how to work with him and it's even harder to work with AI because he is a superstar who is used to being the go to guy on his team and it is harder and different playing for the western conference it is not just having superstars on one team it's about playing defense and playing together against tougher teams i think they should of waited until next year to get him rather then now...I also believe AI would of been better on Minnesota even though like most people i wanted him to really play for my team (The Knicks) but his best fit too me would of been with KG

A.I. is an excellent player, but I don't think he was the perfect fit for them. The most recent loss saw Vince Carter burning them for 40ish points, mostly because they have no defense at shooting guard.
Iverson has always been an offensive asset but his defense is suspect, and by moving him to two guard rather than point, he will be paired against more dangerous big point scorers like Carter, Wade, McGrady, Redd, and Bryant. Carter had his way with Iverson all day and that will continue as long as A.I. is at the two and Blake is starting point.
That combined with a huge hole in the powerforward slot means that although Melo+AI+Smith+Camby will be putting up huge points every night, expect opponents to do the same.
Edit: Err sorry forgot Boykins had been traded, removed him from message.

As of right now, they are looking for a big man to fill the void that K-Mart left. I'm not even a Nuggets fan but I couldn't see them missing the playoffs, especially if they DO get that extra big man. They'll be a lower seed, but they'll make it. Camby is great and Nene is ok, they just need some depth. They are 22-20 after the loss to the Hornets tonight, so once the new tandem of AI and Melo start meshing right, they'll be on the right track again I think. Mark my words, they won't drop below .500.

Well, since the trade, they have only won twice...Carmelo needs the ball and works accordingly. AI is a ball hog who touches the ball way too often. The team chemistry was in question before the trade, now your going to have two players who thrive for the ball. Thus far it hasn't been a real problem but as time passes, Carmelo will demand the ball, while AI will play his type of game. I don't think the trade was too advantacious for the Nuggets.
Good luck!!!

i doubt they miss the playoffs. theyre losing because they lack defense. its just melo and AI out there scoring but that doesnt really help if the other team outscores you. what happens if they have a off shooting night, there defense wont be able to carry them through the game. and just because you have 2 superstars on a team doesnt mean you will win more.

Because of The Problem. The Sixers are starting to come together and form an identity now that A.I. is (thankfully) outta here.
