I don't know. My boyfriend has a Security job so i know what that's like. He too works anywhere from 8 to 15 hour shifts, sometimes 6 or 7 days a week. He tries to spend whatever time he isn't working or sleeping with me and i appreciate it, but i too feel kind of ignored sometimes, like i take a backseat to everything else or i'm at the bottom of his priority list, or something. It is difficult and kind of puts a strain on a relationship, but just be patient and try to appreciate and cherish and make the most of the time you do have together. Afterall, distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Men are so different from woman. When they have a problem or they are tired, they usually clam up. They dont have the need to talk about their problems like women do and you have to pry it out of them. However, they are also giving you a message...saying, leave me alone for a while I have things I need to sort out. It is very possible this is the situation, he is just working to much and overtired. I would back off for a while and dont call him...give it a week or two and if that is all it is...he will call you. If not, then I would re evaluate the relationship. If you dont hear from him...just call him, tell him you gave him his space in case he had things he needed to work out...but, its been two weeks and you get the feeling the relationship is not working. You would appreciate a straight answer.

He's probably tired. The worse thing you can do is bug the crap out of him. Just chill and wait for him to call you. Not right by the phone by the way. And get some self esteem the guy is sleeping and you think he doesn't care about you? That's a little harsh on you don't you think.

The man is tired. I know what it is like to pull some hours. You don't want to talk to anyone. You just want to go home, eat, shower, and sleep. He is short with you because you keep asking if things are ok. We, men, don't like dealing with that when we are well rested. We definitely don't want to deal with it when we have worked 16 hours, and know we have another double coming the next day.
My ex never got it either. She would want to go do things, talk, or whatever. After 16 hours, all you want to do is sleep.
I dated a girl before my wife, who would want to spend time with me, but knew how tiring those days would be. She would come over, sit on the couch next to me, watch whatever she wanted, or read, or whatever, and let me sit there passed out on the couch. She just understood what it does to you.

Usually when guys get like that all of a sudden, they are cheating. I have been there many times. If he wont admit to a problem, dont call him again until he calls you. Then when he does call, you will have the upper hand and he will feel compelled to talk to you and maybe open up. Dont keep calling and bugging him, its really hard not to, but that never works. You dont want to be with someone who doesnt want to be with you, right? And dont worry, he will call. Even if he wants to be done with the relationship, he will still call because he will probably feel slightly guilty and wonder what you are up to and why you havent called.

He's tired and needs some rest, so he wants to get you off the phone. But he's afraid if he told you that, you'd take it personally and get mad at him. His fear is correct - obviously, you took it very personally when he didn't want to talk to you, instead of understanding that the man is just tired and needs some sleep.

He is really working? Do you know this for sure?
If so then he's just tired, give him a break.

You might have one of those guys who feels unappreciated. Or he might be the kind to think that you should be working just as hard as him.
