Think of all the terrible things that might never have happened, or all the wonderful things that would have never happened, and how different the world as we know it would be.

I'm not asking what if people didn't have emotions, but if they never acted on them

if no one had any emotions life would be pretty boring. but if people just didn't act on them I think in some ways the world would be better off. a lot of times people tend to act more impulsively when they base decisions off of emotions. but if they would take time for the feelings to pass, or at least think before acting, I think life would be a lot more pleasant. (at least in my humble opinion)

If we had no emotions, then we would just "be".
If we would just "be", then we would be one with God. But being selfish is just so good, isn't it: no matter which way you look at it, it doesn't matter if you're doing something good or doing something bad to someone, because in the end it's selfish: If you were to hug a child and you smile, you wouldn't do it if you didn't feel good about doing it, right?
So, maybe it would be a good idea that none of us to have emotions, because then we would no longer be considered fallen.

I don't think it would be that much different if every one did the opposite of there feelings. I mean some one insults you and you treat them as a best friend. Or you cry and get in to a fist fight with the bride, your sister, at your sisters wedding because you are so happy for her. If anything it would make it more confusing.

Reason cannot provide it's own basis. Think about this; logic starts from certain assumptions (premises) and generally these cannot be provided by logic itself. Our intellect can gather information, but there is no basis to act at all without emotion.

If we had no emotional reasons behind our judgment, we would be heartless. Like robots, everything done for our won benefits. The poor would never have a chance at anything. No one would donate anything. We would destroy ourselves with pure greed.

The world would be like a time-warp, we'd all be robots who had no clue what was going on, and it would be a waste.
