YES you do! You have to be sure that everything went back into the right places, they will need to do another pap smear test. Don't skip it. And yes, I had 3 kids and was busy as HE77, I still went. I ended up having to retake the pap smear, as it came back abnormal. LUcky for me it turned out to be OK, but if it WAS cancer, then what? I could've died from 'not having time'. Moms are always busy, get used to it dear!!

How busy will you be if they find something wrong? Will you make time for it then?
Why do you think they HAVE 6-week checks?
Answer: because that is when things start to become apparent, and they can tell if things are going normally or not. Like stress and postpartum hormonal swings, or omproper parenting, or incipient infection from something that hasn't healed, or chronic low-grade hemorrhage causing low hemoglobin or hematocrit, or incipient mastitis.
(Still busy?)
They don't do it to aggravate you. They set it up to ascertain that things are progressing normally. And if you are doing fine, you'll be outa there in no time.

Of course you do. It won't be a waste of time if there is something you're missing that causes problems down the road. Try to schedule it on a day you're not so busy, but definately go. Blessings

You payed for the visit, when you payed to have the baby. Usually they discuss birth control with you. So unless you are wanting another baby you should go. They will also make sure that your uterus is back to normal size and that you are doing okay. I think it is a good idea to go.

They need to check you out. If you had a c-section then they need to make sure that the incision site is clean and free of infection. If you had any complications with a vaginal birth then they need to check you and make sure that everything is ok there.
You really need to go to a post-natal visit.

No, No, No. you need to get that clean bill of health. Child birth is a big deal on a woman's body and you need to know that every thing is 100% back to normal. If not for your self do it for the little one you won't regret it.
