If gays & lesbians sexual preferences are genitals of the same sex, then why is it ok for teen gays & lesbians to go into locker rooms of the same sex when straight teens get in trouble just for peeking into locker rooms of the oppostite sex? ALL teens like to peek at what turns them on but gay & lesbian teens not only get to peek freely, they get to shower with them too!!!

I asked this question for my straight teen grandson whose gay friend talks about hot bodies in the guys locker room so my straight teen peeked in the girls locker room to see bodies HE thinks are hot but got busted by the coach. It's natural, not perverted, that teens like to look at nudity. Some look at Playboy, some look at Playgirl & some straight teens look at genitals in common to compare, often retreating to private stalls if the evaluation makes them feel bad. I'm sure most will eventually marry for more than genitals but right now, it's a double standard when the straight one is forbidden to peek at the real thing while the gay one is free to peek openly just because locker rooms are divided between penis's & vaginas! I vote for world wide unisex locker rooms with open dressing areas + individual stalls! I may be a straight grandparent but I'd STILL undress out in the open!

It's an archaic tradition from the past that we keep going. There are locker rooms that take both sexes, you know . . . they just aren't that popular.
Anyhow, there'd be no way to 'fix it', anyhow- how do you tell a gay person? Yup, the fact is, you can't. What would you do about bisexuals? And let's not forget the fact that people, gay or straight, generally go into locker rooms in order to change and shower, not to be perverts.
Personally, I think that locker rooms should have individual changing stations and showers for all who want to use them.

Mel here, Christian as well. "Autogynephilia - the sexual arousal of a man by his own perception of himself as a woman or dressed as a woman" LMAO! Frotteurism - Sounds like assault to me! Incest - Should not be protected at all, ever, under any circumstances (unless they didn't know it, but once they know they should have to stop) Necrophilia - Gross! Pedophilia - Should not be protected at all, ever, under any circumstances Voyeurism - I am pretty sure there are laws against peeping toms already. Zoophilia/Bestiality - This is disgusting. The rest of them, I could care less about. Edit: Also, did you intentionally leave heterosexuality in the list or forget to remove it? What you are saying is that none of the listed things deserve protection, so you are saying that straight people shouldn't get protection either...From your point of view the things listed are "filth." I guess you are never having sex or thinking about haveing sex, ever. right?

When I was in middle school, I was a rather shy and modest lad, and I preferred to change into my gym clothes in a bathroom stall rather than out in the open. I eventually got past that, but not without some harassment from my classmates, who would even go so far as to open the stall door just to expose me in my skivvies.
Funny. I'm the gay one, but it was the straight guys who all wanted to peek.
(By the way, gay men don't simply "prefer genitals of the same sex" any more than straight guys get married to vaginas.)

yes but think of that, you and your friends wont be teased and humiliated by your room mates for peeking at the opposite sex locker rooms but what would you do if you find a male class mate peeking at the male locker room?

My locker room years were hell - yes I was attracted, but I didn't want to get caught being attracted...so, I never showered (made up some bullsh*t about parentalism in the schools) and changed clothes in a toilet stall and never, ever dared look below the chin line. MAN, what wasted days.....
