As a Bears fan... I haven't heard that particular attempt at an insult. I know several die hard fans and the consensus seems to be nothing but respect for the Colts players and coaches. Dungy in particular is a guy that is hard to hate. I think the Bears are the better team, but I'd never go so far as to say the the Colts suck or talk trash about what I expect to be a very good game.

As for the underdog thing... just like in MLB this year, there is a popular idea that one conference is far superior to the other. The line was 7 in favor of the AFC before either team was decided. It didn't change when the Bears/Colts won their respective games.

So is that all we've got? Uh, yeah. These teams are so similar in style and attitude that I think any insult directed at one team would probably apply to the other equally.

So if (as an earlier answer state) COLTS stands for:
"Count On Losing the Super Bowl" ......

and since CUBS definitely stands for:

Completely

Useless

By

September....

then if someone asked me "What do you think of the Cubs?" and I replied that "someday they'll grow up to be Bears and lose all over again...."

Would that make me a person who is a realist in the Windy City or a Chicagoan who can't pronounce Colts?????

beats me. i don't call them that. we're underdogs cuz of rex grossman. that's about it. and you guys have peyton manning and marvin harrison. the teams though are pretty even in strength match up. Bears defence is as good as Colts offense, and Bears offense is just as good as Colts defense.

Because a lot of Americans are jumping the "I hope Peyton Manning wins his first super bowl", band wagon. Nobody cares if indy loses or wins, people just wanna see manning win or lose. I wouldn't be surprised if some people didn't know indy was in the super bowl.
