My son (13) had friends in the tub and the tub has been foaming ever since. We think it migh thave been laundry detergent from clothing?

Drain the tub , clean all filters and visible surfaces . refill . If what you think is true anti foaming agents won't work on soaps of any kind . But before you go to all that trouble take a sample of your spa water to a pool store and have it tested , many of the stores in my area do this simple test for free . PS I'm thinking it might be a little bit more than detergent residue don't you ? Boys will be boys .

Go to a hot tub store and ask them for an anti-foaming liquid, I can't remeber what the name is but I am sure they will be able to help you.
