I'm caucasian and really feel bad for the African American race and other minorities that live here alot of us really dont want to see the truth BC the grass is green on our side majority of the time. Its really sad and I hope 1 day we can all actually all be equal, I mean damn we all come from Adam and Eve! And yes your right I hate to admit it this its "the mans" plantation. Sad but true its so obvious that things still arent fair! Whoever said that stuff about cops, answer this question why are most serial killers caucasian? As a matter of fact im going to go and post that! You have every right to ask that question!

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950), Lord Of The Rings (between 1937 and 1949), and the Wizard of OZ (1900) were all written a LONG LONG time ago. If they had written in black characters I am sure you wouldn't like the way they would have been portrayed at those times.
As for Harry Potter I am not quite sure. Newer Disney movies have African American actors. My daughter loves Jump In! and High School Musical. Some of the older Disney movies can't be compared to what they do now. Look at Song Of The South.... THAT isn't exactly what you had in mind I am sure.

They had a black version of the wizard of oz out called The Wiz. It didnt catch my interest. They had a mulicultural version of cinderella that came out a few years ago. In alot of movies black people are portrayed as low income and ghetto, or thugs. If it is a horror flick most of the black people tend to die off early. That is a very good question. I personally think they are some what afraid. then again theirs alot of african american non believers such as myself. If i could make money doing a film about witchcraft i would probably pass cause i dont believe in it. I believe in hypnosis i believe in aliens but i dont fool with the witchcraft. Now and days black people are starting to be portrayed in better roles. you can tell its a new millenium compared to how things wereway back when.

Sadly, the majority of all movies feature white people. The movie people should make more movies with minorities, but they just don't. Maybe because they think they won't make as much money.

They usually avoid using American actors in general in Harry Potter and those old-time fantasies, because a long time ago, there was no America. Why they don't use African American actors...An African American kid did the vioce of that cute little bear cub in Brother Bear, and that was a Disney movie.

There is no reason that a African-American could not star in a fantasy film like those you have mentioned.

Cause Hollywood is racist. They only like to cast black people as gangster's or dirty cops. Kinda sad really.
