What are your interests? I'm having the same problem and asked the same question... Just think about your general interests, type them in on google or something and maybe some ideas will flow your way. I'm sure your passionate about something...

I find that doing a little research on my interests is a good way to get the creative juices flowing for a writing assignment. LIke animals? Pick your favorite and "google" it for a little info that you could use as a basis for a paper. Like music? Pick your favorite kind and find out what history it has. Have to write an opinion essay? Well, what do you care about? Pick a side of an issue, research a few points to back up your ideas and then get started.

A great way to brainstorm is just to write down all the things that you like about life. Then, when you pick one of them you will enjoy doing the work of research as well as writing the paper so that you can share your interests.

Best of luck!

Hey girl,
i can't believe everybody forgot about something so important and disturbing. The torture and killing of animals for fast-food restaurants, grocery stores and fur sales!!! I logged on to PETA.com and the video I saw about how wolves and bear cubs are skinned for their fur actually made me throw up!!! They skinned a wolf ALIVE on camera and you could hear it trying to cry and see it trying to bend and bite because his skin was being ripped off of him. The fur traders then stood on his neck so that it would be easier to pull the rest of his skin off.The segment closed with a picture of the bleeding, dying wolf laying on the ground with his muscles and veins showing, still moving.I'll never forget his long, beautiful eyelashes covered in tears and blood as the people watching just laughed...Please go to the site and watch it.You, as our youth, have the power to DO something about this and make people listen to you.The first step is to let people know this is happening. There are a lot of important issues to talk about and deal with these days, but the animal cruelty issue is rarely mentioned and there certainly isn't as much money for this issue as there is for the other ones. Please consider writing about this.I'm sure if you saw the video you would write an intelligent , informative essay that would not only get you a good grade but would also begin to let people know what is going on.Mine and your parents' taxes pay for what is being done to these animals. You can be their voices', say it LOUD and CLEAR. Thank you

Well, I didn't know what your interests are...so I went into your profile to check out the questions you've answered.

Sounds like your into looks, health, relationships, and celebrities.

So why not do an essay on how hollywood celebreties affect teenage girls?

Something about how hollywood celeberties *perfection image* affects the lives of everday teenage girls.More specifically, how it affects your views on body image, health, self respect, morals and relationships. Does it make you more likely to be affected by eating disorders, or think you are fat when you are not.

Are you more likely to have children out of wedlock, or to think divorce is acceptable?

Something along those lines.

Good luck!

Write about something you know well - hobby, favorite book/movie, plans for summer/after graduation, volunteer program. Make a brief outline before you start writing - it will help you stay on point and to put together a piece that flows well.

What kind of an essay is it? Depending on its purpose, a list of possible topics may vary. I can't give a particular advice, but there are a lot of essay topics on http://custom-writing.org/blog/

Pick up a newspaper or find some internet news and see if anything catches your eye, something that you have an opinion on, and use that. Do some research and there you go.

of all the vast collected sum of human knowledge and experience over the last 10,000 years, you can't think of ONE THING that interests you enough to write about it?

God, I worry for the future of this country...

How about writing an essay about the utter destruction of the American public education system?
