Transcript from the murder trial in Singapore:

Lawyer: If he was rude why didn’t you just slap him?
Defendant: I had no free hand.
Lawyer: Because you had a gun in one hand and a knife in the other?
Defendant: Yes.
Lawyer: You could have kicked him?
Defendant: I’m a gentleman, I’m not so rude to kick him in front of his wife and children.
Lawyer: So you shot him six times in the head?
Defendant: I told you already,I had no free hands

Depends on the street, time of day, my frame of mind, and if I'm alone or with someone.

Yes and no.
I'm used to walkin around in the dark, but it's the matter of the fact that you can't see anything in the dark.
In the light you feel safe because you can see and people are out and about, "normal" people are out and about, more of them are out and about than there are at night.
We're lead to believe that crooks and bad guys are only out at night, that's why we're scared, when in reality they're out at night and in the light.
Also, like bittersweet (his answer's a lil lower) says, it "Depends on the street, time of day, my frame of mind, and if I'm alone or with someone. ".
I like them both, but I prefer daytime, but if you let things like that get to you then you can't live. That's like saying that you don't like to go outside because world war 2 happened outside.

I feel extremely safe on the streets at night where I live.

Is that an actual transcription stenographed from a trial in Singapore, or is that an extremely awful and tasteless joke?

Do you feel safe on the streets at night where you live, and if it be so or not, where do you live?

If I let every little thing get to me, I'd never leave the house, eat food, or drink water. You have to have faith that things will be ok, that you will survive. I feel safe out on the streets in any country. I also realise that you have to be smart about where you go and avoid dangerous places.

No, but not for the usual reasons. I have night blindness, and it's bad enough out there when you CAN see.
