get a lawyer and if the child is old enough get the to a anylyst, be a psycologist or therapist that way when you go to court, you can prove that your partner is not doing a responsible job of rasing a kind, caring responsible, accountable, independent, and productive adult. Why do you even let the wife see the kid she obviously doesnt care, so i think you need a lawyer, and if you fel the child is in harm call cps, go to a custody discussion forum on the internet to see what other people in your situation did.... good luck, shame on that mother

If it's not a legal seperation you've got no leg to stand on. In custody matters you HAVE to have at least a LEGAL seperation. The court doesn't recognize it as a seperation if it isn't legal because basically it isn't.

you are still married no matter which way you look at it,verbal abuse is abuse, don't let any child go through that just because the parents have given up don't dump your problems on the child. there is enough verbal,physical,and mental abuse in this world
