There are no rules on how you have to be personalitywise. I'm not happy-go-lucky either--I love people who are, but that doesn't mean I have to be.
Bright--there are so many types of intelligence. I think you must be judging yourself by the wrong ones. Being bright is being able to recognize what you do have and make the best of it. This can take years--being bright is a journey, and you have the rest of your life to make that journey.
Overweight--a lot of people are with you on that one. I think forcing yourself to do something every day, like walk for a half hour, will help. You may not lose weight at first, but you'll start to feel better as you get into the routine. You'll see other people out walking, wave to them, and your day will be a little bit brighter. Once you become more motivated, the weight takes care of itself.
I know it's not easy. Remember--some people are born 2 feet from the finish line, and some aren't. The important thing is to be happy with the way you are moving forward.

For the overweight thing you can go on a good, healthy diet. You don't necessarily have to go on a DIET, per say, but you could eat better and maybe exercise a little more. This will make you feel better and be more "happy go-lucky" as well. As for the bright thing, you could read some good books and study hard in school.

The only person who can help you to become a beautiful is you. Obviously, you have no self-confidence. Beauty is the eye of the beholder. Look within yourself and try to lose weight, put a smile on your face, read and study more.
The best advice I can you is to stop being so negative about yourself and relax. There are no magic potions for beauty. Beauty does not come out of a bottle.

First off - you are ALREADY a beautiful person. It is your perception and negative thinking patterns that have talked you into these destructive definitions of yourself.
Overweight huh?
A quick story - I am 155lbs..and do not look overweight at all. My Dr. told me I needed to lose 20lbs. I am 5'10. I quickly took her point of view into refernence as she is a typical hollywood Dr. all pre-fabbed (silicone, nose jobs, diets and all) She stands 5'9 and is 115 wet. That comment was quickly discarded - as it was her opinion that I was over weight based on her definition of fat.
My heart is excellent, no high blood pressure or cholesterol, no health issues etc. - So why am I FAT?
My point - make sure "overweight" is factual in your case. The term "overweight" is very subjective. Are you heavy boned. Do you come from a culture of people that are naturally large? This can make you appear to be larger than slighter boned people.
A good reference to being overweight is to collectively look at your health facts. Do you have high collesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure etc. If so it is a health issue - not a beauty issue.
If this is true then you need to lose wieght for your own health reasons - not beauty reasons. If you find that you look better when you lose the wieght to be healthy - than that is a plus - but not the driving factor for losing weight.
Suggestion:
Get a health check up. Do not compare yourself with others as you are YOU! Find your real beauty which is inside.
This will begin to show when you change the way your think about and perceive yourself. Ricki Lake was supposidly overweight so was Oprah and they are awesome, funny and beuatiful people. No one ever cared that they were not skin and bones - right?
"I am not a happy go lucky person"
Becuase you KEEP telling yourself that. What you think is what you get. Think positive and happy thoughts and you will create that in your life. Your happy go lucky attitude - or lack there of - can be changed. This is all in the way you choose to think.
Suggestion:
Buy the book " The Power of the Subconcious Mind". It may be hard to find (pub in the 80's) but it is out there! This will teach you how to think in a`positive manner so you can create the future you really want to have. In the meantime, try these tips - Whether you believe it is true or not - say and think loving things about yourself. For every one bad thought - think of 3 good ones. Write them down and read them when your negative thoughts try to take over. Ask someone else to write some for you as well - I promise they are there!
If you think negatively about those who have wronged you - forgive them - it is not for you to judge or punish - let that work be done my the maker. So you are free of that negative burden. Again - for every one bad thought replace it with three good ones about them. Even if it is very simple. This will FREE YOU and keep your soul light!
"I am not very bright"
GET INFORMED - birght is not just IQ - it is knowing up to date topics and information in the world today! Everyone is born with gifts - find yours and show it. Your conifdence will begin to rebuild!
Everyone is creative and bright. Do you choose to let it shine - welcome it and enhance it with study and exercise of the brain and spirit? What about writing, painting, cooking, do you read? Go online and choose a topic you NEVER thought you could understand - and read about it. Get to know it so you can speak to the matter. You are bright - just try it!
Suggestions:
Write a book! Self publishing a book - go to iUniversity and research the idea of writing and publishing your own book- YOU CAN DO IT!
Try a new skill - Download a piece of free software and learn to use it - go to shareware.com and find one that peaks your interest. It does not matter what you think you can or cannot do - just do it and dont think about it. Choose a software, download it., open it and just play with it. There is not anyone judging you but YOU. Follow the step by step instructions - and whallah!
Get Informed - Find out what the latest news is by subscribing to CIOSecurity or another RSS feed. Who cares if that is not your line of business - this will tell you what is going on in the business world-daily associated to the Internet and business - JUST DO IT!
Study - You can also go online and take a course on a topic you like! Learn a new language, take a course on psychology, learn about marketing trends, study spirituality!
Volunteer - Get out of how bad your life is and see real hardship.
Help another in need with your love, kindness and share your knowledge with them.
Suggestion: Foster homes, the elderly, homeless shelters, doemstic violence, cancer and there are so many more causes where you can make an impact on anothers life!
This will make you feel so wonderful and will really help someone who needs YOU NOW!

The first step is to get your self esteem built up a little. What do you do well? Write? Are you cruel and nasty to others? (of course not). Do you have pretty impressive computer skills? Do you care about people? Are you good at your job? You have to realize you have some great qualities and you can make a difference. If you manage to like yourself a little others will like you as well.
It's not all gloom and doom. Life is full of challenge and opportunities!

By accepting yourself for who you are.
People who judge you to fast, are the people who you shouldnt even begin to worry about.
Beauty comes from the inside.
Trust me, coming from being previously overweight, begin to accept who you are. Then you will see a gradual change into something you would like to see yourself as. But remember, nobody is perfect, nobody.
Believe in yourself, and you will go far.

a woman i grew to become into acquaintances with in severe college grew to become out to be the worst individual I even have ever typical. Your ex sounds a lot like her, genuinely. I used to think of she grew to become into decently appropriate, yet now, as quickly as I see pictures of her on facebook, she seems hideous. and that i won't have the ability to un-see the gruesome no rely how hard I attempt. observing her, i will tell that she is a extremely foul individual and that i do no longer understand the way I ignored it till now, or how human beings nonetheless leave out it.

First of all you need to feel beautiful and love yourself a little bit more, no one is perfect, I consider myself beautiful and I am also overweight.. once you learn to love yourself and find out who you are, then you can add a little fashion tips to bring the best out!!!smile=)

first of all self confidence is important you should always have self confidence and like what you look like because if your not confident it will show
you should love yourself
but if your overweight and want to loose a some pound you should try to exercise more but dont try to loose weight in an unhealthy way
