Lana and Lisa are the same age. They look the same. They have the same parents. They are not twins. How is this possible and why?

They could be two of a pair of triplets.

The reason this could happen is both were born to the same parents and were probably born in the same year. The children have some of their parents genes and the same traits. They would probably have the same face. But it doesn't say in the problem that they look exactly alike! Hope This Helps!!!!!!!!!!

There's only one thing I can think of--by same age, they are both, say, 9, but they were born 9-11 months apart so they're sisters, but not twins.
Oooh, just read the one about triplets. That's another good one--they're from multiple births, but more than twins.

It is simalar to "Trouble with Sons: A woman had two sons who were born on the same hour of the same day of the same year. But they were not twins. How could this be so?" The anwer to which is that they were of multiple births.

They may only have the same Mom or Dad. One might be functioning at that age and the other may actualy be that age. Thats tough!
