its not always how the DR feels, its how you feel physically and mentally. if you feel you have healed, go ahead and make a date night with you man. but its only if YOU feel you are healed enough to have sex. just be sure to be plenty lubricated just in case. good luck!!! ;o)

What kind of birth did you have? I had a c-section on Dec. 14th and was back in the metaphorical saddle about 2 1/2 weeks ago. If you delivered vaginally, I really would wait, hard as it may be. Maybe try manual stimulation lightly and have an orgasm, then wait until the next day to see if any problems arrise. But when you are ready, make sure you use condoms and maybe extra lube, it really does make a difference! Good luck!

You're not supposed to, that's why they tell you to wait. Of course, everyones healing time is different, but unless you are a Dr or nurse, you're not going to be able to do an internal pelvic exam to see if you have healed completely.
If you had an episiotomy, I highly advise that you wait till you see your DR. You don't want to tear or get an infection.
You can do oral or manual stimulation if you & your hubby are wanting to fool around. Or call your DR & see if you can get a check up appointment earlier than Feb.12.

Some people do, but I don't recommend it. While you might feel normal, you might not be healed completely. Not to mention, you can get a serious infection. I say do something else besides having intercourse, until you goto your six week checkup.

only if you feel like you can have sex... it's all about the healing down there that really matters, try doing other stuff other than intercourse to spice up the night.

Dont do it. My friend did and she ended up with a really bad infection and her fertility was almost compromised. Just wait it really isnt that long, you can do it!

If you think you've healed enough, then it will be ok.Don't be in a rush if you are not,it will make the moment better.

You are risking serious infection but if you are into that, go for it.
