you can always open your "computer" even without an operating system.

All you need to have a screw driver set and two hands

If you mean to say you cant find the icon of my computer on the desktop, you can right click on empty deaktop area and select show desktop icons.

Right click on start button and select explorer First think in the list would be My Documents and second one would be My Computer

Go to "Start" > "Run". Type "C:\" or "D:\" whatever is your drive name. That's how you can access your data without going to "My computer".
