I like gay people, actually on some level the world would be a better place if straight guys were a little more like gay guys.

I am gay and with a boyfriend being gay is different some like it some don't. We actually do a favor for the straight world we leave them without a lot more women to choose from & we cut down our ever growing population. Being gay is a choice some are born that way it all depends how you grew up. It's not a disease it's just the way we are nothing can change it. you are who you are.

I know how you feel. I'm not gay, but bi-sexual and it's also looked down upon. I think personally that some hate gay's because there afraid of them. They think that it's sick and wrong and they feel they need to make up excuses to make gay's feel wrong and diseased so that they don't feel threatened in a way. It's like they think we take away there masculinity. Unfortunately it's something that will always be an issue. We just have to deal with it the best we can and try to live our lives the best we can.

Personally for me I believe being gay is who you are and not a choice. I think that people shouldn't be judged for what they do privately in their own homes. If you were to take a real look at some heterosexuals out there you would find some sick people. Some. And they aren't judged so why should you be? I am heterosexual and I keep thinking that with just a switch I could be the one who is judged and attacked, that it's that easy for people to be cruel. It angers me.

I was raised in a catholic family with republican parents who believed race, gender, and sexual preferences have no bearing on who a person is. When I joined the Army I found that one of my friends was gay and I had to help her hide it because she could have gotten kicked out for it. I am lucky that I grew up with parents who were and are intelligent and understanding of others. How do I feel about you being gay? I feel sad that you are mistreated by some people.

Not all people dislike Gay people...but the ones that do are probably just uncomfortable around them or maybe those that hate Gay people actually have a phobia of some sort because maybe being around a Gay person triggers some deep-seated homosexual desires in themselves or that they may have had long ago and maybe they're ashamed of it because of family pressures...peer pressures...worrying what others think. OR maybe some people really believe being Gay is wrong. Maybe they were raised to believe in only heterosexual relationships as being proper. Who knows ? Who cares ? There's always going to be people who don't like you...even when you're not Gay. So, don't worry about what prejudice jackasses think and live your life to the fullest being Gay. As long as you're not out there spreading Aids to the whole world and you're responsible, that is. Because there are some Gay people out there who do this...heterosexuals, too.

I dont completely understand it. But I love gay people. They have a place in the world and there is NOTHING wrong with them. I feel sorry that so much of the world is so unaccpeting of them. Especially places Like Saudi Arabia where you get executed for being Gay. I think the people that do that should be nuked.

Honestly I wish everyone would be bi with a preference for the opposite gender.

I like gay people as much as anyone else, but I think some people are afraid others will think they are gay if they are nice to a gay person. Or they feel like they relate in some secret way, and wish to get as far as possible from confronting that in their own minds.

One more reason: some gay people are in-your-face about their sexuality, and all they talk about is sex (yes, I know, so do some straight people). People who are new on the gay scene sometimes talk about nothing but being gay, and it gets kind of old listening to it after awhile. It's like listening to a 20-year-old collge girl talk about how she was sooooooo drunk, and there were sooooo many guys hitting on her. Just annoying. Once people are done making reference to their sexuality at every possible overture, whether gay or straight, I personally find them to be much more tolerable.

I have no problems with gay people i am bi myself.

But i was thinking that it might make people uncomfortable.. like a woman being around a lesbian.. would be thinking.. oh god is there sexual tension here.... or the same with guys.. thinking oh god does he fancy me.. or something like that.

And i reckon guys tend not to like lesbians becuase they dont fancy them and it makes them feel bad ?

nah i don't know..

it could be because they're different. Like the same as black or white. Male or female. Gay or straight. If it is different then it makes some people uncomfortable i guess.

And i reckon homophobic men take the p i s s out of gay men to make themselves look/feel more manly..

Lotsa little theories coming from me lol

Harry, there are alot of people that are out there that do not hate gay people. The ones that do hate gay people unfortunately have their own issues to deal with but take it out on others. Their ignorant and not as intelligent as they think they are. It takes all kinds it seems in this world. Speaking for myself I am a PFLAG Mom, and my son is gay.
