An associate degree is a two-year degree, offered at community colleges. These degrees are often (but not always) explicitly vocational in focus.
A bachelor's degree is a four-year degree, offered at a college or university. A bachelor's degree is necessary for graduate level education. One does NOT need an associate degree prior to beginning work toward a bachelor's degree. However, sometimes (but not always) students begin work toward a bachelors degree at a community college, and then transfer into a 4 year college.
A master's degree is another two (sometimes three) years of study after earning the bachelor's degree. Study at the master's level requires specialization in a very specific field of study.
A PhD or doctoral degree is another option after the bachelor's degree. It sometimes includes earning a Master's degree along the way to completion. (Sometimes, more often in some fields than others, students complete a Master's degree elsewhere before beginning a doctoral program, but this is not always the case.) Doctoral degrees generally take from 4-7 years to earn. Earning a doctoral degree requires original scholarship in an extremely specific area of study.

The diff. is that they are representing diff. levels of qualifications. I think the step is like this: Associates --> Degree --> Master --> Doctor
I think Associates takes about 2 yrs; Bachelors 3 or 4 years & Masters 1.5 years or more, the period just depends on what you study, doctor or architecture take a longer time.
The period will be shortened if your study in the past is related to your future study.

certificates are no longer stages. they're certificates ending touch of a short direction of learn. stable for trades (aircon fix individual) acquaintances tend to be 2 year stages. stable for trades or means based working. Bachelors are 4 year stages. regularly take in the one hundred twenty to one hundred fifty hour selection. Masters regularly take 2 years or 30 hours and a thesis, previous a bachelors. An MD is on the Masters point yet does no longer take a thesis regularly except going into study. Graduate point certificates .. .this I even have never heard approximately. Doctorate is a million to 4 years added attempt for regularly 60 hours of extra type artwork and a thesis that is going via a protection. regularly has 'unique study' it quite is mentioned on in the thesis. first professional -- I even have not heard approximately. regularly I even have heard of 'submit doctoral' artwork, that's often study based and classes required to grant helping education. I even have typical those with diverse bachelors, diverse masters, diverse PHd's and have diverse submit-doctoral works (basically study culminating in proctored revealed study papers)

Associates is a two year degree. Then you can go for Bachelors, then Masters. Your salary is more if you have a higher degree like masters.
