Well it does not involve High School, (plot is a bit more grown up than that) but Cowboy Bebop is widely regarded as the best anime ever made.

Girl try to watch naruto on tonami and inuyasha on adult swim.You can also try a show caled the prince of tennis on tonami and bleach and eureka 7 and trinity blood on adult aeim.Those are the best.
