The Yom Kippor war. We were closer to a Nuclear war than in October 1961. The Egyptian army was half way up the Sinai Peninsula and all at once the Israeli army retreated fast, as if to evacuate the area. Two Soviet subs surfaced in the Mediterranean, and the Two U.S. subs surfaced in the Red Sea. Jimmy Carter stepped in and saved the world.
Yes Isreal has Nuclear capabilities. The Jews gave us the bomb.

I think it is what is called an "open secret" (yes, I know, that's an oxymoron). Israel probably has nukes. There is a lot of conjecture about the number. Israel also has Jericho missiles capably of carrying them. I'm reasonably sure that they can reach Iran.

yes they do. france helped them with their nuclear program. israel has even threatened to use them in the yom kippur war of 1973. it took US intervention to stop it.

yes, and it was admitted for the first time recently. before that it was common knowledge, but not accually admitted by the government (Israel).
