I don't think there's a right answer to this. I think it all depends on the nails you get. Some look real and looks fine on 11 and 12 year olds. But when you get some cheap ones from the dollar store toy row, then it just looks trashy. But I guess it depends.

personally I don't like fake nails on anybody. I like my natural nails too much. They just look, well real.As far as your question, I would say late high school or maybe college would be OK. I have nice regular nails, so I just don't see the point of fake ones.

my best answer on this would have to be when you are old enough to afford them. except for medical cases, i would suspect the reasons a girl could not grow them on their own will be the same reasons they will have to replace them.
i think most guys would put the length of a girls nails very low on the attraction meter. cleanliness of nails would be much higher.

Old enough to pay for them with your own money that you earned, not your parents. Basically, older than 15.

i got them once when i was 14 but i havnt since then because they ruin your nails [even if they were crappy to begin with] i would reccomend not getting them.
