i would be floored if they decided to have a four day week..but that takes away from summer vacation

Good question. I think that having school on Friday helps prepare you for the "real" world. When you get out of school, you will be required by your boss to work five days a week, so, while in school, you go five days a week. If you attend college, and take only night classes, you will not have class on Friday. That is nice,since most people want to socialize. Also, if there were no school on Friday's, then summer break would be shorter because by law you are required to attend school X amount of days per year. So, like I said earlier, good question.

My son's school only has a half-day on Friday..that works good for me!
