I found this due date calculator online and its says first heartbeat 1/30/07 and they have the conception date as 01/02/07? I read at many different places that you dont HEAR the heartbeat until 10 to 12 weeks along. but you can SEE the heart beating earlier. Can anyone help me out with this?

I found out I was pregnant this time at five weeks and had a transvaginal ultrasound but nothing could be seen. I had another one at six weeks and was able to see the flashing of the heart beating. It may be longer to see if a regular "over the tummy" ultrasound is done. I just had a regular ultrasound today at 12 weeks and 2 days and was able to hear the heart beat. Because the baby's so small still, it takes a few more weeks to hear it after being able to see it.

the doctors can see the heartbeat waves on a ultrasound at around 4 to 6 weeks, when the heart gets stronger and bigger then they can actually hear the heart.

My husband and I saw the baby's heartbeat at my first ultrasound at 8 weeks. He actually heard it then but I couldn't :P...we had a prenatal appointment today and heard the heartbeat with a doppler at 12w3d :) You can see the little heart flashing regularly in your first ultrasound if you have a skilled technician!! good luck!

You can see the heartbeat as early as 7 weeks by transvaginal ultrasound, however because the embryo is so tiny, it can't be heard on a doppler device until later.
