there is a high chance that something bad will result in placing a young rabbit in an adults cage. rabbits can be very territorial of their cage and may see the rabbit as a threat.

more so is that fact that while the baby rabbit in question is currently a baby, it will in fact become and adult, and that leads to more serious problems. 2 adult males will almost always fight, 2 adult females *might* get a long, but i haven't seen it very often, and if you put a male and a female together you will end up with litter apon litter of babies (rabbits don't go into heat, they ovulate whenever a buck-male- is around, so a doe-female rabbit- can breed with a buck only hours after giving birth, so when your babies are around 30 days old you could end up with yet another litter, this cycle will continue on). IF you get both rabbits fixed and work at bonding them together, then yes, 2 rabbits can live happily in 1 cage, mine do. i would suggest reading further rabbit health information on the house rabbit society website listed in the sources

I don't think it would be a good idea.
if it is a adult female rabbit defintly don't
female rabbits are territoral and are very agressive when something is put in it's cage.
as for if it is a male adult still no the male will want to breed all the time
DO NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER

I dont know about a baby not of its own family but I do know that for some reason rabbits will kill their own young under certain circumstances.

It's possible. First off get both of them fixed. Even if they are both the same sex. Then you'll have to slowly introduce them to one another. here is a great website on all things rabbits. http://www.rabbit.org
