you're not really supposed to eat at night because it triggers your insulin, giving your body more energy, therefore, you wont really fall asleep too easily and your body will retain alot of the fat in whatever you eat, and any bread you eat will turn to sugar, and any sugar gets converted into fat, so most likely an apple or wheat toast as it is not bleached/processed sugar and won't give you too much fat or excess energy

Here is a small sandwhich you can make that is perfect. Make it before bedtime so if you do wake up it is there.
2 slices of Whole Weat bread, place some sliced turkey on the bread. Then take a little bit of honey, mix it with almonds and some flax seeds, spread lightly over one slice of bread. Put the 2 slices of bread togther and you got a sandwhich, that is perfect and will also help you sleep because of the tryptophan in the ingrediants. Place in the refridgerator.
If you would like, cut the sandwhich into 2 halves and then you have a snack for 2 nights.
Wash down with some warm milk.

I usually just eat a bowl of cereal, if I don't want that, I will take a pop tart and break pieces off an munch that with a glass of milk. OMG, I am getting hungry now......

i have the same problem i wake up at like 1-2 a.m. and im hungry, but i don't eat, cuz then i ll be awake and stuff, but PB&J sandwish is very good or left over chiness >_< lol it really is.... so yeah

trail mix bars are great for you. I ate them b4 i got out of bed in the morning the whole time i was pregnant, they curbed the urge and helped me from puking.
