33 active male ,6months ago my knee started bothering me while playing football,I recently broke my collar Bone and been out of sports for 3months. last month I started doing cardio for a hour a day . My knee started acting up again, Its really hard to explain, Its hard to place the problem area ,As I type now its behind the knee above the calf (numbing throb) its the right knee on the upper right side about where the thigh muscle ends,I can sometimes feel what I would describe as a rubber band stretching sensation right there.I get numb feelings in my foot and my calf, There was no sudden impact or injury it just kind of started. There isn't really much pain but just a weird feeling that isn't right.it almost feels that if I do start to run It might give out. I mountain Bike for about 14m on the weekends and it doesn't really bother me during that activity. Football starts in 2weeks and I'm a bit worried. Anyone have this same thing or info?sore tendon or something?cross my fingers

There are so many things that it could be......torn ligament, or tendon sprained muscle....your best option is to......dum dum dum..
here come the dreaded words............go to the doctor!

For now..use some heat to help with the pain.....BUT if there is any swelling use ICE.....Heat will make the swelling worse.

There's this strange phenomenon...they call it getting old.

JK...If you've been out 3 months, you might want to check in w/ a personal trainer about the pain. Have you contacted your doctor yet? Maybe spend a little more time stretching before you start. Running is a little bit more taxing on your knees than cycling is- that could be why it doesn't bother you after cycling.
