communication studies, broadcast journalism, film & television--depends where you go. Pick a school with good connections in the industry--do your research. Try reading broadcasters' biographies online and see where they went and what they majored in (what organizations they belong to, etc).

Major in Communications. That's exactly what the majority of athletes do, in order for them to become sports broadcasters and reporters after their athletic career is over.

Communications. Many colleges and universities have such a major. My son volunteered as an on-air announcer and DJ when he was going to school and majoring in communications.

I would say communications. Look at Syracuse University. Lots of braodcasters and sports media personalities went there. Good luck.

You would either major in Communications, Radio-TV, or Journalism. Also, you would definitely want to minor in Physical Education.
