Okay! I'm presently in College in my first year as a RN student. Bottom line... I HATE IT! I hate school, I hate the classes, I even hate the people! I only went into nursing for the $ and to make my mom and granmother happy... so now I'm in a pickle. I want to switch careers (to arts or journalism for which I have a passion for) but there's one thing STOPPING ME! I use to be so into psychics... I've been to see 3 of them. And SUPER oddly enough all THREE OF them predicted I was going to be a nurse in the future. Weird huh. They all told me I was going to be happy in the future and that I was going to have a good job as a specialized nurse blah blah. I can't shake off what they said. :S It's stopping me from changing college programs. I'm sooo scared that if I switch to Journalism or Arts i'll "screw up" my future somehow! Please help! Any advice would help! Thanks!

There's only one person in charge of your future. YOU!! Both the fields for which you feel passion can also be closely related to the medical field. Look into art therapy. A growing field within the medical community, and definitely specialized. Or maybe journalism with an emphasis on writing about health and medicine. Even investigative journalism exposing poor medical care practices and fraud. So don't be afraid to change fields. It will all play out much quicker and better if you are happy in your chosen career.

Well, they didn't say how you would get to that "happy nursing place," nor how far "in the future" it would be. Perhaps you're not meant to go through the whole program now, but to pursue arts or journalism, then go back to nursing with a full heart when you're ready for it.
Psychics aren't god, they're just reading energy off you. If your energy is confused, that can get in the way. Perhaps THEIR energy is confused as well. But in this case I'm betting either they're reading a very deep desire to please, or that you're meant to be a nurse but not right away.
I really don't think people should place that much faith in psychics, but should spend just a little bit of effort cultivating their own psychic abilities (which will come naturally when you're living your life in harmony) and be their own guides. Nursing makes you miserable? Well, you're an adult, so be one! Make your decision! Get out, do something else, support yourself, don't let your family put you down, or if they do distance yourself. It's your journey, don't let anyone rob you of it.

Although I have some belief in psychic type abilities, I also know there are plenty of scammers out there. Try to think back.....is it possible that these psychics had hints that you were studying to be a nurse? Did you go with a bunch of nursing students? Did they talk to your mother or grandmother beforehand? Were they located in an area where the majority of the students are majoring in nursing? Did you have a nurse type sticker on your backpack? Did you say anything to indicate that you are a nursing student? Any other things you can think of that might have tipped them off? If they were scammers, they would look for clues as to what to say to make you "happy". Believe me, I think there are legitimate people out there with these types of abilities, but if your gut tells you not to be a nurse, I think you should not be a nurse. Trust your instinct! AND....if you switch to arts or journalism, and it turns out to be a bad fit for you, you can always switch back! If it's a financial thing, there are student loans, and they'll let you pay those things off forever if you have a hardship. Your future is just that.....yours!!! GO FOR IT!
Oh...and as for your relatives....I know you want to make them happy, but, if they love you, they will be most happy if YOU are happy! They'll understand eventually!

If the psychic's you went to are very popular and they have proof that they actually are telling you things that they true and things that you know there is no way for them to know that is what your actually doing now then I would deffently stay where your at in your career and most likely you will be sucessful. There really is psychic's that can tell you what is going to happen and what has already happened. Anyways if you find out that they already knew that you are a RN student or you told them before hand then I would go with what you like best. Don't punish yourself because you just want to impress your family with a career with good money. Do what you love to do and what you have that full passion for. Leave the psychics alone and go with your heart. I can relate. When I first went to college, I majored in nursing, for the money, and because my mother is a nurse, my grandmother is, and my great aunts are as well. But my first year I figured out that I HATED the science classes and what I really wanted was to understand humanity a little more. So I changed my major to psychology/justice science double major, and decided that I would worry about job opportunities later. Turns out, most employers are impressed with those with college degrees. Simply having a college degree says alot about you. So worry less about psychics and money, and more about what makes you happy!

My advice would be to stay away from psychics. Its only common sense if your not happy with a job, move on. I mean when are you going to be happy? Never be afraid of changes. You have to do want makes you happy. And its obvious your not. Your letting other people run your life. They have made you feel like your going to screw up. I hate to bust your bubble here but you have been brainwashed here. If you want so much to get into Journaliam or Arts and it makes you feel good even thinking about it? Go for it! Are you going to let everyone run the remaining rest of your life for you? Its not going to come to you. You have to go after it. From what i'm reading too if you decide to stay with your present job you will end up getting fired. You will end up a miserable nusre around people who are sick in a hospital. If you can't change the hate? You better shake it off and switch.

The only way in life a JOB or CARREAR CAN'T FEEL LIKE A JOB OR CAREAR,that can't feel like prison but feel like something that you actually love doing is if you follow your heart in what interests you the most. I think the only way those 3 fake psychics could have known that you are going to be a nurse is if the first thing they asked was something like "oh hi you are so young are you a student oh that's nice what are you studying, than you say nursing" and couple of minutes later after a lot of blah blah blah they probebely said oh look i can see you helping people when you get to be a nurse they are going to be so greatfull!!!
OH PLEASE ALL THIS IS NOTHING BUT TO GET YOUR MONEY, JUST BE HAPPY AND STUDY WHAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. SO THAT WHEN YOU GRADUATE YOU WILL DO WHAT YOU ENJOY AND IT SHALL NEVER FEEL LIKE WORK.

Hun, you cannot let a psychic control your life! Don't even listen or go to them! Iknow you hate the school, hate the classes and the people, and I know exactly how you feel.. I had the same problem, but I learned to be content with what I had and who I had around me.. You can change your future. The psychics only picked up what was currently happening in your life. If you are unhappy as a nurse it isn't going to change in the future. It will only get worst. change now and live what you want.If they are right about you being happy in the future as a nurse it will be then. But for now indulge in what you want to be.They may have mis read your passion and assumed it was for nursing.When in fact it isn't.And, Just because they say something doesn't mean that life won't get in the way and change it.Follow your dream now! im sorry pyschics are not really all impowered, if they were they could predict events before they happen and not say they did inbetween the lines afterwards. Do what u feel you should i mean really all they had to do was a 50/50 guess and that all 3 did the same is simply mathematicly logical and probable. ask 3 more and u may get 3 journalisms ;) but really do what YOU want not some hokus pokus wannabe
