I surposedly had my right ovary removed in Dec 05. But i have been having worse pain than ever for a whole year now. And still hurting on that side. I feel either he did not remove it and removed something else. I have no idea what he did. I got rid of him in the hospital after the surgey when i was later hospitalized for a blood vessel he cut. I had ultrasound after ultrasound but the techs never checked the right side because i told them, thinking i had no right ovary, that it was removed. Today i went for the results from this ultrasound and the doctor tells me that i have a right ovary??????I asked him how is that, mind you he knows of the surgery, and he told me "IT GREW BACK". How is an ovary going to grow back. I have never heard anything in my whole life so absurd. I guess he figure he can tell me anything and I am surpose to just say OK and be happy that I have two ovaries now. Yeah right. If anyone has any information or input please and i am begging please let me know

Oh my goodness..I'm sorry that I cannot help but it really sounds to me that you are being jerked around here. This is serious and you need to get in touch with someone that can do something about it. Yahoo answers cannot help you. I'm thinking you could even have to bring up a lawsuit because of this.

I think you need a second opinion, go and see a doctor that someone can recommend to you, and get him/ or her to request the file from previous Dr and review both the file and you medically. Sounds like this doctor isn't being very helpful and doesn't seem educated. I have never heard of an ovary growing back either. You may need a lawyer post your second opinion

I dont really think that they can grow back.. cause we get them at birth with all the eggs already in them...im not entirely sure on that but my guess is that they dont. My best advice to you is to GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR now. You need to get an appointment with a completely different doctor as soon as you can. Maybe even try another hospital. I think your gettin jerked around a whole hell of alot. Also i would talk to the administrater of the hospital about your options against the doctor that did this to you. You have rights and this is a bunch of crap.

go get yourself a lawyer never heard of an ovary regenterating so i think he is trying to pull your chain if he cut a blood vessel too then he better hope that his malpractice insurance is paid up cause there may be a deadline in which you have to file a claim against him. they don't grow back my mom is a nurse and she just got a weird look when i asked her!

Well i have one word for you "Lawyer"......... Doctors will NEVER say any thing bad about each other or admit that another Dr. made a mistake. You need to get a second opinion (for court reasons) and get you some money for your pain and suffering and being lied to!!!!!
