Unless the issuer contests it, there is no problem.
I only put account # on the back of mine, never endorse them anymore AND have forgotten to sign checks for bills I wrote , then put them in the mail . . . the bank cashes them.
I doubt anyone at the bank ever looks for signatures or endorements unless there is a theft complaint.

It happened to me last month.

The bank mailed me the check to sign.

It took 5 days to get the check, and then I signed it and re-deposited it!

The shred your check and tell you to get a new one issued. J/K!!!

It really isn't that bad. They usually stamp it "For Deposit Only".
