yes she isn't a minor...

In the United States, all but one state requires that a couple be 18 in order to marry without parental permission.

Nebraska sets the age of majority at 19. Although a few states will waive this requirement if there is a pregnancy, teenage couples may still have to have court approval.
Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland and Oklahoma allow pregnant teens or teens who have already had a child to get married without parental consent. In Florida, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, a teenage couple must have permission from a court. Maryland and Georgia require that the minor (teen) be at least 16.

Even with parental approval, many states require court approval when a person is 16 years old or less.

You seem to be both over the legal age limit, and I am assuming this is a relationship issue, so that is perfectly fine, although take in consideration of other people's cultures and beliefs, how your signifant (or you) were raised a s a child.
Most people don't have a problem with that, but certain people, like from the Italian decent, arabic, muslims, Indians could think differently.
But as far as you both go being American citizens, I don't see a problem, if you both love each other.

I'm 26 and was with a 52 year old woman a few months ago. I think a 20 year old and 35 year old can be together anywhere in this great nation of ours.

20 is over the age of consent in every state so there is no reason a 20 year old can't be with a 35 year old. However, I would consider whether the age difference would present any other problems.

yes..a 20 year old and a 35 year old are both legal adults..

there is no age limits when it comes to relationships between 2 consenting adults..

the only time it becomes a problem is if one of the individuals is under the age of 18..but 18 and older is perfectly legal..

This applies for the entire United States..

Absolutely..
But I'm not sure what
a 35 year old woman
would have in common
with a 20 year old boy.
A 15 year difference,
that's huge. You will have
that old "Are you his mother?"
all the time.

Yes.

If both partners are over the age of consent in the particular jurisdiction, there is nothing that law enfocement can be do to them - as long as both are consenting.

If it is a matter of concern for you, most jurisdictions in Canada and the US have their Criminal codes on-line.

One thing to keep in mind - since you are asking about sex, many jurisdictions in the US have laws requiring their Police Officers to look into bedroom windows and charge people having sex in "immoral ways."

Yep. As long as everyone involved is over the age of 18 and consenting, they can be together and go anywhere they like without fear of legal reprisal.
