I drafted LT in the first round (ahead of LJ, thank you very much....) so I cruised to an easy championship.
Made a few other savvy drafts and pickups, too.....Housh and Reggie Brown as my WR2 and 3. Picked up Kaeding a few weeks in, too.
Made some bad picks and calls, though. Warrick Dunn looked good, even better when Duckett got traded, but he never caught on fire. I had Colston one click away from a pickup too when he was just appearing on the fantasy radar, but I let him slide. Got burned leaving a trade for Clinton Portis open one day too long - he got put on IR, and then the other guy pulled the trigger and left me stuck with a lame duck....
Last year I got second place in my first year of playing, so there's hope for you :) Just pay attention during draft season, but dont take everything you hear or read at face value - figure out for yourself who you think the hot commodities will be, trust your gut :)

I played this year for the first time as well. When our league did the draft, I didn't really know what to do so I just picked the highest pre season ranked player avaliable. Later though, I learned what to do and ended up picking up some pretty valuable players like Brian Westbrook and Michael Vick; because of this, I ended up winning the league. Overall though it was a fun experience.

I played, but I didnt do so well. Damn me for drafting Clinton Portis and Lamont Jordan in the first couple of rounds. Also, picking up Bledsoe wasn't helpful. Nonetheless, I had a great time playing..

I finished first in one league, and finished fourth in the
other. I did finish first in both regular seasons. In the
one league I choked in the playoffs. That's why
a fourth place finish.

the exact same thing happened to me my first year. this is my second year and i figured if i had more teams i would have a better chance of winning. i guess it worked. out of ten different teams on three different sites, i won two. not bad.
