Recently I took a trip to India where I noticed that Indians do this sort of head roll thing, where they sort of shake their head side to side. What exactly does this mean?

South Indians tend to it more than anyone, and i guess it's part of their culture. it's a way to show they understand the situation, or they are complying. it is not a negative action, just a habit they don't realize, or unaware of how confusing it can be.

I've wondered that too. We have a very diverse workforce and several of our indian employees do this.

I thought maybe it was a tick of some kind.

Makes yes or no kind of confusing.
