The lady who took two days off work has the right answer. You need to do nothing but feed and pump for 2 days straight to get the flow going again. It's supply and demand, but you really need to get into demand phase with this one.It will come back but you will jsut need to work at it for a few days to get back to normal. You need to drink plenty, get some rest between feeds and just feed feed feed, swap sides two or 3 times each feed, wait an hour or so and do it again...........and again..........and again...........good luck:)

I had a similar problem. I just fed my baby as often as possible and the milk came back. Even if you don't think you have any milk, breast feed before giving a bottle. I only had to give a bottle for 4-5 days, once a day before my milk was in enough. Just don't give up. : )

i have the same problem my doc gave me the wrong birth control pills and milk supply has stoped so i stoped taking the pills well ive been trying for a week to get my milk back but every time i put the baby to breast he screams well my wic lady told my its because the bottle is easier for him to drink he dont have to suck as hard cause when u turn a bottle over milk comes out on its own so she told me to take the bottle away and when he starts cry and screaming put him down untill he calms down and try again and eventually he will relieze hes not going to get a bottle and eats off of me the more you put the baby to breast the more milk your body will produce and pumps dont work cause its not the same sensation when your at work use the pump to relieve comfort but dont worry if you dont pump much you wont just feed the baby off breast as much as possible and it will come back dont give up

I have a very good answer for that but get ready cause you will get so big and sore. Get a whole melon cut it up for be placed in a blender, bend away and then add water to mix. Pour into a gallon container and add more water and a bit of sugar for taste. You can add crush ice and , mmmmmgood. You will produce alot so get ready to pump away. I have tried other fresh fruits but this was the 1st and the one that worked the best....I hope it does well for you. Is this your First child?

Oh, no!! When this happened to me, I had to take 2 days off from work and nurse around the clock. You have to nurse, nurse, nurse (or pump, pump, pump - though it is not as effective). It worked, but it was a close call.

Definitely don't give up - find a La Leche League meeting from the llli.org website, and call the leader, especially if there is no meeting any time soon. They are there to help.

Good luck!

Start pumping and your body will catch up. Try to feed first and then pump.

It will take a few days but you'll be back in full force!

Like everyone else said, nurse, nurse, nurse. Also, ask your doc about Reglan, it's a prescription medicine that can increase milk production, though it is not FDA approved for that purpose - it helped me.

There are lots of things you can do to increase your milk production. Call your local La Leche league and they will give you lots of suggestions.

Best of luck!

Nurse and pump frequently, at least every 2 hours.
If you didn't nurse for a week, it will take you at least a week to recover your supply.

Breastmilk is supply and demand so your supply *should* catch up.
