Winter? Are you sure you're asking the right question? Winter in a tropical country means there is no snow. They had no need to store food since their source of food stayed alive during "winter"

in a store room!!yes!!they used to have a certain room specially made for food storing, each kind of food had a storage recipe or container!!salt & sugar were used as dring agent!!also vinegar was used for most vegitables & some kinds of fruit!!muddy pots were used with different sizes!!they were the refregirators for that period!!you may find some food kept with the dead corps(mummies) & still with the same condition till now!!THEY STILL HAVE MANY SECRETS!! hope this helped!!
