That sounds like quite a demanding job, especially if you want the person to learn other computer systems on top of all of that.

I suggest you contact your local MYOB Certified Consultant (www.myob.com.au/ccsearch) to quote to do the bookkeeping aspect of your job - ask if they hold qualifications in accordance with Section 251L of the Taxation Act - their hourly rate may appear to be expensive - but you are likely to find they will work very quickly.

A Chartered Accountant from a leading accounting firm has said if a client comes to him with an MYOB data file, properly prepared for a full year, processing the accounts will cost around $1000. A poorly prepared set of books, could however cost up to $5000.

In the long run getting a properly qualified bookkeeper or outsourcing it will save you a lot of money. Your finances are very important, and should not be confused with admin secretarial duties.

I hope you don't find that to dictatorial. I make a lot of my money fixing up errors that cheap bookkeepers have made with the best of intentions, going back over BAS statements, over a 2 year period is a costly exercise. You are the one responsible for employing someone, and you are responsible for paying taxes.
