What ever goal you give yourself in life is what you should achieve if you believe that goal to be the most honest.

I think no one has given the correct answer for it. As every one is putting his thought in the spellings but not going through the GOEL word. It is a caste of baniya community as Aggarwal, Gupta & Agarsains. The ultimate life in this caste is Maharaj Agarsain .

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

i don't think anybody can actually say 4 certain what exactly is the goal of life. life is a discovery we make everyday. life is not a stretch of years. its every moment we breath. all we have to do is to live theses moments one hundred percent. give our best. results r not in our hands. but to to work and fill life in the moments we live is all in our hand. life is a big question. and the question is not the same 4 everybody. it is different 4 each one of us and changes each day. u can't live life with a set of predefined rules and knowing what will happen in the end or what is its purpose or goal. its like a jigsaw puzzle with millions of pieces. and v won't know the real picture until the last piece is put together. ultimately after all this, its true that v die. but death is not the goal. v don't live to die.

Its a very tricky question. Various people gives various answer as per their Views or the Vision. And The views or Vision depends how far you can see, which is again "Relative" in nature. Anyhow I am trying to justify myself as I have also faced the same question queried by myself.
I see the Life is a huge Long Road to pass through. I have started my journey while I was born and I will hit the finishline, while I will die. Its a Marathon to pass through overall the life. You can walk, you can scroll, you can run etc. In short brief one liner is "The goal of the life is to reach the Finish line". Now how do you travel through out the way is upto you, as I allready said. You just cannot be pass out half the way. You have to finish the line. And all we meet the friends, relatives, people are the passerby who spends some good time with us in that journey of the respective person. Here the question comes whether Reaching to the Finishing Line is an ultimate Goal?
The ans of this : According to me the ultimate goal of life "is to reach to the finished Line with pure SOUL".
Pure Soul - Where you can communicate with yourself at your ease, This Gives the perfect Vision of life.
Now the question what is Soul? Majorly we talk like this
"I thought it would be good" to ourself only. Then who is "I" . He is the one whom myself refered as "I". In very brief as we grow up we start going far from the Truth/Soul in general and we experience lots of trouble. And we cannt communicate to our SOUL. We feel we are blind though our eyes are open. But we feel Roadblock and get scared and so on... Though we reach the Finshed Line one day but communication with the soul is lost. we just pull ourself towards the finshed Line.
In Another approach is : Only the Pure soul knows whats the ultimate goal of life. The well you connected with your SOUL the well you define your goal of life. The ans lies with every individual.
Please ask if anywhere the more clarity is required in my comments.

Meaning of life varies from person to person, it is distinct and genuine, there may little similarities in lives of people. so are the goals of life(people). The ultimate goal of my life is eternity how attain it, will have to go thru a lot of stress and strife as the element gold to attain its best and purest state needs to be burned in fire and only then it attains the ultimate state of purity. That is the ultimate goal of life whatever be the road taken or the process gone through.

I think we are on so many levels a group of cells functioning for the betterment of the team. The goal of life is to try and stay alive. If you can do that, it's to contribute to society as much as possible. So sad, but true. Or so I believe.

To procreate and make the greatest contribution possible to improving life for all living things. Hooking up with an ideal mate and being happy would be pretty cool too.

To live everyday for whats its been given. Each day is a blessing, one more "dress rehersal". This life is just one big ole dress rehersal for our true after life (either in heaven or hell). I wanna make it all it's worth. Spend everyday living for my Jesus. Growing to be more like Him each day. It is the only life I have, and I want to leave my mark on the world. Many people say they want to change the world, but wanting is not enough. We must make our words our actions. You are the only one who can make your dreams come true...and never laugh at others dreams,... those who dont have dreams, have nothing...

ultimate goal of life is to lead such a beautiful life that, when you are in your deathbed u experience a complete satisfaction. Leave your footprints, so that the entire world remembers you even after your death.
