I have had this before. I had my gall bladder out after my second child and with every pregnancy after that(I am on my fifth preg) i get those pains where my gall bladder used to be when I eat too much fat, then the fun pain when the fat goes undigested through the system. I don't have the problem when I'm not pregnant, I guess my body can tolerate less fat when I'm pregnant. To me it is like the pain I had when I still had my gallbladder in, but to a much lesser degree. I would recommend keeping a food diary of EVERYTHING you eat, including fat amounts for about two to four weeks depending on how often you get the pains, and also write in it when you get the pains, how long they last and if you have intestinal pain and or diarrhea in the day or two after the pains(I know it sounds like TMI, but you will probably start to see a pattern). Also, it could just be tissue stretching, but I have experienced that to be more like round ligament pain. Good Luck

I had mine removed ten tears ago now and i still get the pain somtimes, My gallbladder was about to rupture, the stones were huge! My doctor told me it is phamtom pain, like if you had a limb removed, you probably used heat and antacids to relieve the pain before your op? i just do the same thing and the pain fades. I know that our bodies have a hard time dealing with digesting fat after removal, but dr assured me this was not the cause of the pain.. I also found that i got it more often during pregnancy,I guess we can just be gratefull that the attacks are not as frequent and pass quicker than before. Try a hot bath too, that will ease the pain. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and the birth of your baby, and Welcome to motherhood the best job on earth!!

I had mine taken out and I still had a bit of pain or about a year afterwards but only now and again. I had mine taken out 4 years before i had my son and I know how painful they are. I tell people would rather have ten kids in a row than have that pain back . My gall bladder was inflammed and become infected.
I had explorative surgery to to find out what it was but they could not find anything. I remember the doctor telling me that sometimes the tube that leads to the gall bladder occasionally gets stones back in them. I ask your doctor to sus it out again. Watch your diet too. Wheni have fatty foods it seems to not sit well with me .

That is so odd, I had my gall bladder removed 4 months before becomming pregnant with my 2nd and never had pain post recovery now preg w/ our 3rd still no problems. I would call the surgoen that preformed the surgery or see your practioner. A Ultrasound should be done to check to make sure clamp is in place among other things

I had my gallbladder removed in Dec. and I had the same thing. I found out I was pregnant right after surgery (I had a miscarriage wed.) I don't think it has anything to do with the baby though I think it is just where your organs were moved around and such, but now i only have it if I reach for something. Good Luck and Congratulations BTW

I have had my gallbladder out but when i was pregnant i got the gallstone pains all the time but it might be that the scar is stretching I'm no doctor but i recon to try and see the doctor that referred you to the op. Or it might be scare tissue inside because the baby is pushing everything up towards the area.
