I am really disliking winter more and more each year and am trying to figure the best warmer place to move to. I've heard many southern states have large scary bugs, is that all of them?

I live in the south and have driven a tractor trailer for over 25 years and the southwest area is best for NO bugs like we have here. The south has mosquitos, termites, ants and cock roaches. I think it is because of all the humidity we have here. But the west doesn't seem to have those there. Southern California is great in the summer time and I haven't seen any bugs there...just nats like you would get when you turn a light on outside, but I think that is everywhere. South Western Arizona is great also.

I just moved out of San Diego. And yes, I thought there were lots of big scary bugs there, including huge water bugs, spiders and big gross silverfish. I'll take the snow and cold weather anytime. I think anywhere tropical is going to be like that.

Phoenix is super hot but not humid and not a lot of bugs. Albuquerque, New Mexico is smaller than Phoenix but does not get as hot and you get some snow, but nothing like Denver. Not a lot of bugs either in Albuquerque.
