I would like to know from anyone who has had a brazilian wax, what should i expect?

I really want to go and have a brazilian wax done, but am a little scared...mainly about someone you know having to touch my um private bits...
Also the thought of ingrown hairs in strange places isn't so appealing... is it worth the trouble or is it truly a horrid experience?

As a Beauty Therapist I have performed hundreds of Brazilian waxes and you do not have to worry about someone touching your private bits. The wax is applied in small sections and we hold the skin taut, usually using our finger tips so that we do not accidentally touch the client anywhere inappropriate and make them feel uncomfortable. Some people are more susceptible to ingrown hairs than others- one main problem is that people often don't exfoliate the skin around the genitals. I recommend exfoliating prior to waxing and once you have had it done make sure you exfoliate that area a couple of times a week and always moisturise afterwards as the skin can become dehydrated in that region.

I had it done for the first time recently. I was nervous too but the beauty therapist was fantastic and made me feel really relaxed. When I mentioned the awkward fact that she looks at fanny's all day she said that all she sees is the hair and the way it is growing. She doesn't notice the fact that she is looking at a strangers crutch! I had a couple of tiny little pimple things the next day but after using my loofah they went away and have not returned. I havn't had any ingrown hairs either which surprised me because I usually get ingrown hairs on my legs when I wax them. I highly recommend the brazilian - it's cleaner, tidier and (fantastic in the bedroom)...!!

Tried it once, not worth it!! the ingrown hairs you get 2 weeks later are terrible, and what know one tells you, (well lets just say, we need some hair in that area, other wise every thing feels like you are being rubbed with a brilo pad, the softest undies, feel harsh. Just get the area that would hang out of a bathing suit waxed, and trim a little, but the brazilian, takes off way too much.

It will be a little painful the first time, but once you get into it, it will hurt less.
Waxing is the best way to remove unwated hair from your bikini line and as a plus it lasts longer than shaving or nair.
If you're really nervous, get a sample patch waxed... don't worry though about them seeing or touching your private area b/c they do it all the time and that's what they expect. :)

It is pretty painful if you're not used to it. It's just like plucking your eyebrows though..until you get used to doing it, it will hurt. I've gone 5-6 times in my life and the first 3 times were pretty bad...and yes it can be embarrassing, having strangers touching your privates..but you've just gotta think, these people do this everyday for a living..chances are they've seen worse :) Anyway, the end result is worth it...good luck!!

Hav u shaved before. usually shaving doesnt get the hair out from the root and creates ingrown hairs. but waxing is more effective cause it rips it from the root (which kills with pain) but looks and lasts alot longer.

1 thing u need to remember bikini waxers- see them everyday its like an eye doctor seing an eye they wnt point and laugh there actually very nice and sympathetic to ur insecurities.
