It is not a classic book with classic tales. It was probably published sometime around the 1970's-80's. I don't remember the name of the book, but it contained short stories and poems. One of the stories I remember had a picture of an apartment building cut in half where you could see the things and people inside it. It was my fav! I know this is not much info, but that is all i can remember. I want this book for my son. I know he will love it as much as I did.

I am very greatful for all your help, but none of those are it. The apartment picture was just a picture for one of the stories. I know it wasn't Richard Scarry because it did not have his type of illistration. I will deffinetly check with the book stores and library's though. Thanks. :)

I would visit a private owned small bookstore...they seem to always know what you are talking about when looking for children's books.. (you know, like the movie You Got Mail Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan). Act out all the parts of the book that you remember. Good luck to you!

It's called 'The Tall Book of Make Believe'. You won't find it for less than $100.00. Try secondhand bookstores or ebay. It was written in the 50's or 60's. Good Luck finding it.Check with your parents, they may still have it

Was it Richard Scarry?

Check with your local children's librarian. If she/he doesn't know, one of their colleagues might.
