Check out Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire. It's a GREAT aviation school for pilots, aviation management and for Air Traffic Control. I go there currently and LOVE it!! The campus is literally like... 1,000 feet from the busiest general aviation airport in the Northeast!

For pilots, you can earn an associates degree in Flight Ops, which will also give you your private lisence, you can then move on to your instrument rating, commercial rating, multi-engine rating, jet rating, and even an instructor rating!!

the website for the school is: http://www.dwc.edu

I believe most commercial airplane pilots started out in the military.
